Benajarafe is a coastal village, located 14 kilometres to the east of Malaga, between Rincon de la Victoria and Torre del Mar,
in the region of Axarquia.
A traditional fishing village with catches of mainly anchovy and sardines, Benajarafe has a population
of approximately 2,000, sandy beaches and safe clean bathing, plenty of restaurants serving srumpious food in delightful
surroundings, an excellent garden centre and all usual facilities.
During 2005 a new promenade stretching the length of the beach and lined by gardens and palm trees was created,
enhancing the natural beauty of the town and its low-rise white buildings.
