Benajarafe is a coastal village, located 14 kilometres to the east of Malaga, between Rincon de la Victoria and Torre del Mar,
in the region of Axarquia.A traditional fishing village with catches of mainly anchovy and sardines, Benajarafe has a population
of approximately 2,000, sandy beaches and safe clean bathing, plenty of restaurants serving srumpious food in delightful
surroundings, an excellent garden centre and all usual facilities.
During 2005 a new promenade stretching the length of the beach and lined by gardens and palm trees was created,
enhancing the natural beauty of the town and its low-rise white buildings.
