The fiesta of persimons has been celebrated for more than 80 years, by way of promotion of the fruit for which Sayalonga is the main producer in Andalucia.
This is a fun festival which combines the agriculture, gastronomy and folklore of the area.
During the day you can taste the fruit, the jams and other dishes using the persimon as a base, and discover the local sweet Sayalonga wine and other dishes typical of the region. One particular speciality is Calabaza Frita, a dish inherited from the Arabs.

All day long you can watch and listen to performances of flamenco and regional artists and join in with the singing and dancing. |
