springtime constellation and visible from February to July depending on the time of night.
Sextans is a minor equatorial constellation, introduced in the 17th century by Johannes Hevelius. It was named after the instrument that Hevelius made
frequent use of in his observations.

NGC 2974 - Galaxy magnitude 10.8
NGC 3054 - Galaxy magnitude 14.0.
NGC 3115 - a Lenticular Galaxy magnitude 9.19, 32,000,000 light years from Earth and several times larger than the Milky Way. At its centre is a black
hole, about 2 billion times the mass of the Sun - one of the largest black holes known. This galaxy is sometimes known as the Spindle Galaxy but should
not to be confused with another of the same name in Draco.
