This year Easter Week / Holy Week (Semana Santa) takes place during the 5th to 12th of April. This is the most important religious festival in this area of Spain and every town and village has its own schedule of processions and events to mark each important day of the Easter period. The most impressive, by far, are those held in Malaga. The entire city centre is affected with seating added, cars restricted and hundreds of statues are paraded throughout the city centre.
Each townhall does eventually release a timetable of the processions but these can be published very close to Easter so keep checking with your local town hall.
