The Nerja Museum is operated by the Nerja Caves Foundation (Fundación Cueva de Nerja) and it traces the history of the area from Paleolitic times to date. There are a mixture of graphical displays and actual objects. This is the main public display of objects found during archaeological digs at the caves of Nerja however the caves and the museum are several miles apart. The museum is right in the centre of the town above the main car park. There are ten thematic sections
Opening times
Winter 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:30.
July and August 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00.
On Mondays, entry to the museum is free for residents of the European Union.
